 Annual Report ​ (2021-22) 

A very warm greetings to my students their Parents, faculty members and every stakeholder reading the Annual Report for the Academic year 2021-22, It gives me immense pleasure to present the annual report of the college. GCW Bahadurgarh is one of the finest institutions for girls offering B.A , B.Com, B.Sc (Medical) and B.Sc (Non Medical) course. It’s mission is to provide quality education to girls and enhancing their knowledge and skills by providing them adequate learning facilities in a healthy environment. The college is progressing every year. This year a total of 903 students were admitted in the college. The hard work, loyalty and dedication of Vice Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar, our faculty members, our students and our office staff had made our college on a path of rapid progress. Events And Activities Extension Activities NSS Our students are engaged in community activities through NSS unit. Three one day camps were organized in the college campus with the objective of cleanliness of sports ground, watering the trees and sehaj yoga. One seven days camp was also organized in Balaur Village . The main focus of the camp was on water conservation, cleanliness and plastic free environment. Extension lectures and cultural programmes were also a part of the camp. The students were also encouraged to live life with honesty and hard work. Women Cell The college has an energetic women cell that organizes various activities to empower the girls in all spheres of life, whether it is professional development , physical fitness, mental fitness or social –cultural awareness. The students enjoyed online yoga competition and Sehaj Yoga Camp organized by the cell. The students also enjoyed two days trip to Chandigarh and Morni Hills. Cultural Committee The cultural committee brings out the creative side of the students. The committee conducted talent hunt program and cultural fest “UlIas”. The theme of the fest was Haryanvi Culture In which students presented the culture of Haryana through Haryanvi Dance, lok Geet,and Play. Sports Committee The college has an active sports committee. The students participated enthusiastically in various sports activities of athletic meet like Races, Javellin Throw, Discuss Throw, Shot Put, High Jump, Long Jump etc. Dr. Rajrani Bansal was the chief guest of the meet. Placement Cell Placement cell looks after the professional interests of students. The cell organized a five days workshop on handicraft. The students learnt about clay work, pencil art Terracotta Jewellery. Wood Carving and Painting. The students also got an opportunity to participate in placement fair organized in Pt. Neki Ram Sharma College, Rohtak. YRC, Red Ribbon Cell The cell conducts social and health awareness programs. The cell observed poster Making and slogan writing competition, Sehaj Yoga camp and a webinar on ‘Role of immunity against Corona virus. Mentorship Program The objective of Mentorship program is to support students in improving their learning skills, life skills and motivating them towards their career development. In this program discussions were made on various topics like Covid-19, value of sports, Contribution of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Importance of human values in life, Role of cultural activity in students’ life and professional ethics. Departmental Activities The college witnessed a large number of departmental activities during the session. Geography Department Geography Department conducted various activities relating to environment like Essay Writing Competition on Acid Rain, Global warming, Green House Effect, Sound and Air Pollution. A workshop on Remote sensing and GIS was also organized by the department. Many competitions like Map making, Poster Making, Chart, Model were also held in the department. Commerce Department The department organized a webinar on Young Investor Awareness with two eminent speakers from BSE, Mrs. Shakuntla Pareepkh and Mr. Jafruddin. The department also organized Ad -making completion, Essay writing Competition and PPT competition. The department also had an opportunity to host Mr. Jafruddin from BSE who delivered an extension lecture on Financial literacy. Home Science Department The Home Science department observed a competition on traditional embroidery. The students got the opportunity to exhibit embroideries of various states say Chikan kari of lakhnow, Phulkari of Punjab, Chamba of Madhya Pradesh. Mathematics Department The Mathematics department organized Sudoku and puzzle competition. The students of B.Sc and B.A. participated enthusiastically in the competition. English Department The English department organized cursive writing competition. Hindi Department The Hindi department organized Calligraphy, Essay Writing Competition, Poem Recitation and Debate competition in association with Bank of Baroda. Psychology Department Ten teams participated with full enthusiasm in Quiz competition organized by the psychology department. A poster making competition was also organized to convey the message of mental fitness among the students. Sanskrit Department The Department conducted a quiz competition covering the questions on Sanskrit literature Grammar and Vedas. Zoology Department The Students of B.Sc exhibits their creativity in the competition on Scientific Illustrations organized by Zoology Department. Collaborative Activities GCW, Bahadurgarh in Collaboration with G.C. Chhara organized online webinar on Career Counseling and Opportunities Abroad. Keeping in view the health of the students a health check up camp was organized jointly by YRC. Red Ribbon Cell, Women cell and NSS unit. The English and Hindi department jointly organized dictation and pronunciation competition. Celebrations The women Cell of the college organized “Mehandi Competition”to celebrate the festival of kawachauth . On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a session of Yoga was condueted in which students practice various Yoga aasans like sun salutation,Taada aasan, Trikon aasan Warrior pose, Sarvang aasan and Pranayams. The Alumni association of the college got registered this year and an Alumni meet was held for the first time. Hindered Alumnae participated in the meet and they shared their pleasant experiences with each other. We have the privilege to have Mr. Sanjeev Sangwan, of Educational Charitable Trust as Chief Guest. The students of college performed group dance and songs to welcome the alumnae. On the occasion of Diwali festival, Department of Economics in coloration with Department of Sanskrit and Department of Home science organized a competition on Decoration of Diya and Thali. The students participated with full enthusiasm and decorated beautiful Diyas and Thalis and also made beautiful wall hangings. The fresher party was celebrated by students with great zeal. The students gave beautiful performances on dance and song in the party. The legal Literacy cell celebrated Constitution Day with the aim of enlightening the students about constitutional rights and responsibilities. 

 Faculty Achievements 

Ms. Mona, Assistant Professor, Economics Presented a research paper on ‘challenges to Indian foreign policy’in national seminar organized by pt. Neki Ram Sharma Govt College Rohtak. She also participated in online workshop on translation: Issues and challenges organized by Dept. of English, Govt. P.G College Naraingarh (Ambala) She delivered a lecture on digital India during NSS seven days camp organized in G.C.W Bahadurgarh

Dr. Seema, Assistant Professor, Sanskrit delivered a lecture on Swachhta pakhwada under NSS activity In G.C Chhara. She presented a research paper on’(Kautilya aur Bhartiya Videsh Niti) in national seminar orgarized by Pt. Neki Ram Sharma, Govt. College Rohtak. 

Ms. Savita, Assistant Professor, History participated in Refresher Course on Social Science conducted by UGC-HRDC, GJUSST, Hisar 
Mrs. Sheetal, Assistant Professor, Commerce participated in four online workshops organized by UGC- Human Resource Development Center, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalay, khanpur kalan (Sonipat). The topics of the workshops were; Academic Bank of Credits, ‘Multi Entry and Exit System, Éducational Framework for Global Citizenship in Higher Education and Internationalization of higher education. She also completed Refresher Course on Research and Publication Ethics organized by Baba Mastnath University, Rohtak. 

Dr. Ashima, Assistant Professor Chemistry participated in four online workshops organized by UGC- Human Resource Development Center, Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalay, khanpur kalan (Sonipat). The topics of the workshops were; Academic Bank of Credits, ‘Multi Entry and Exit System, Éducational Framework for Global Citizenship in Higher Education and Internationalization of higher education. She also completed Refresher Course on Research Methodology organized by Teaching learning Centre, Ramanujan College, University of Delhi. 

Mrs.Lalita, Assistant Professor, Commerce completed a refresher course on research methodology organized by teaching learning centre, Ramanujan College, University of Delhi. She also participated in four online workshops.

Mr. Ramender, Assistant Professor, Political Science delivered extension lecture on Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi Ji in NSS camp organized in Govt. College Bahadurgarh. Mrs. Geeta, Assistant Professor of Sociology participated in Refresher Course on Advanced Research Methodology: Best practices in Teaching learning Centre, Ramanujan College, University of Delhi. She also participated in International webinar on ‘Professional Ethics and Cultivation of Work Culture in Educational Institutions’ organized by Govt. Meera Girls College Udaipur. ​​

 Students’ Achievements 
1. Ms. Rajrani, B.A I year won Bronze Medal in ‘Con ki Do competition’of Inter College championship - Under         weight 67) organized by Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. 
2. Mr. Rajrani, B.A I year won Silver medal in Haryana state karate Competition Under weight 68 organized by         kurukshetra University. 
3. Priyanka B.A final year got Bronze medal in 45 kg. Weight lifting Competition organized by MDU, Rohtak. 
4. Ranju and jyoti of B.Sc (M) III year got first position in inter district Science Exhibition held in GC Jatauli,             Haily Mandi. 
5. Tannu, B.Com, Final year was selected as Best NSS volunteer of the college. 
6. Nikita, B.SC I year was selected as Best Athlete of the college.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the unconditional support and co-operation of all my teaching staff, non- teaching staff and students. I also hope to receive your support and encouragement to the path of growth and development of the college in future also.
